Hank Wilson, Sr.

Mr. Hank Olan Wilson, Sr., 67, passed away at Candler Hospital on Thursday, January 14, 2021. Mr. Wilson was born in Metter to the late Byron Olan and Ruby Lee Chester Wilson on December 12, 1953. He was a machinist and mechanic for over 35 years at Imperial Sugar Company and enjoyed hunting and fishing.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Byon Olan Wilson and Ruby Lee Chester Wilson.

Survivors include his loving wife of 49 years, Martha Ann Powell Wilson; children, Ruby Genelle Sharpley (James) of Nevils and Hank Olan “Bubba” Wilson, Jr. of Brooklet; five siblings, Gail Mincey of Brooklet, Donald B. Wilson (Attavia) of Metter, Elaina Moore (James) of Eden, Rose Oliver (Raymond) of Pembroke and Wanda Davis (James) of Pembroke; 6 grandchildren; 1 great grandchild and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, January 20, 2021 from 12:00 – 1:00 p.m. at Flanders Powell Funeral Home.

Funeral service will follow at 1:00 p.m. in the Morrison Memorial Chapel.

Burial will be private.
