Mrs. Geraldine Quattlebaum Parrish, 95, passed away on Sunday, May 27, 2018 at Lake Crossing Health Center in Appling, GA. Mrs. Parrish was born on May 23, 1923 to the late William Floyd and Thelma Porter Quattlebaum in Clito, GA. She was a loving and caring house wife and enjoyed cooking, sewing, making family barbeque sauce and working in her garden. Mrs. Parrish was a member of the local garden club and the First Baptist Church of Pembroke.
She was preceded in death by two husbands, William Harry Bryant and Jack W. Parrish; son, Woodrow “Woody” Bryant; three brothers, Roland Quattlebaum, Harold Quattlebaum and Herschel Quattlebaum and sister, Eva Joyce Addis.
Survivors include her son, Melvin Parrish and his wife Lynn of Appling, GA; daughter, Shela Peck and her husband Bill of Spring Mills, PA; sister, Nellie Tucker and her husband Ward of Biloxi, MS; seven grandchildren, Chris Peck, Monica Burns, Amy Key and her husband Jeff, Jake Parrish and his wife Erin, Robert Hopkins and his wife Deanna and Ben Parrish and 9 great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, May 30, 2018 from 10:30 – 11:30 A.M. at the funeral home.
Funeral service will follow at 11:30 A.M. in the Flanders Morrison Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. Brad Butler and Rev. Dan Bryant officiating.
Interment will follow at Northside Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, please make donations to the First Baptist Church of Pembroke or Beulah Baptist Church.
