Pembroke -Mrs. Geraldine Douglas Cannon, age 77 passed away Friday, February 5, 2021 at St. Joseph’s Hospital. Mrs. Cannon was born in Brunswick to the late Melvin Douglas and Hilda Lord Douglas. She was a long-time resident of Pembroke and was a clerk and fuel desk operator at several truck stops. Mrs. Cannon enjoyed reading and quilting. She was a good seamstress, enjoyed crocheted and embroidering and was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Cannon was preceded in death by two daughters, Deloris Ann Rose and Melissa Elaine Phillips; four sisters, Helen Sailsbury, Glenda Hood, Dianne Head and Lynn Neely and one brother, Robert Douglas
Survivors include one son, Danny Eugene Neely of Folkston; two daughters, Susan Carol Head of Athens, and Angela Dawn Neely Guzman of Ellabell; two brothers, Steven Douglas of Brunswick and Melvin William Douglas of Jesup; one sister, Pamela Gorham of Brooklet, 21 grandchildren, numerous great grandchildren, cousins, nieces and nephews and caregiver, Frances Smith.
A graveside service will be held 11 a.m. Wednesday, February 10, 2021 in Palmetto Cemetery in Brunswick.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Huntington's Disease Society of America
