Gary M. Newman

Ellabell- Mr. Gary M. Newman, age 57 passed away Wednesday evening, June 12, 2024 at St. Joseph’s Hospital. Mr. Gary was born in Statesboro, GA to the late Thomas Edison Newman and Erva Lee Futch Newman. He was an excellent carpenter and a good cook. Mr. Gary enjoyed fishing, being outdoors and was of the Baptist Faith.  

In addition to his parents, Mr. Newman was preceded in death by three brothers, Andy Newman, Paul Newman and Steve Newman and two sisters, Evon Futch and Ranee Kicklighter.

Survivors include his brother, Bobby Newman of Ellabell; three sisters, Billie Jean DeMine of Pembroke, Mary Alice Taylor of Nicholls, GA; and Mona Waters of Nicholls, GA; several nieces and nephews and numerous great nieces and nephews. 

A graveside service will be held 2 P.M. Sunday, June 30, 2024 at Red Hill Cemetery.
