Frank Blake

Guyton-  Frank Blake, age 88 passed away Thursday, January 4, 2024 at his home after an extended illness.  Mr. Blake was born in Hawesville, Ky to the late Orville Leonard Blake and Willie Mae Husk Blake.  He was a veteran of the United States Army and retired as a millwright with over 20 years of service at Union Camp.  Mr. Frank, affectionally know as “old papa” was a member at Emmanuel Community Church and previously served as a deacon at Faulkville Baptist Church.  He enjoyed woodworking, fishing and family time, especially with his great grandchildren.  In addition to his parents, Mr. Blake was preceded in death by his wife of 64 years, Mrs. Werny “Old Nanny” Blake; two sons, Steve Blake and Bobby Blake

 

Survivors include one daughter and son-in-law, Debby and Mitch Lynn of Guyton; one son, Dean “Dino” Blake of Pembroke; nine grandchildren; 18 great grandchildren; one great great grandson and numerous other relatives.

 

A memorial service will be held 3 P.M. Sunday, January 7, 2024 at Emmanuel Community Church in Guyton with Rev. Mitch Lynn officiating.
