Faye Waters

Mrs. Faye Owens Waters, 87, passed away Monday, March 21, 2016 in Jesup, Ga under the care of Hospice of South Georgia. Mrs. Waters was a life-long resident of Pembroke and the daughter of the late John Gordon Owens and Willie Mae Wester Owens. She was a life-long member of the Pembroke United Methodist Church, former member of the WMU, and a wonderful cook.  Mrs. Waters was a homemaker and her family was the center and only focus of her life.

She was preceded in death by two brothers, Ralph Owens and Reginald Owens and two sisters, Shirley Owens Thompson and Evelyn Owens Bacon Westbury.

She is survived by her husband of 68 years, Rex L. Waters of Pembroke; three daughters, Gwen Sims and her husband Bill of Atlanta, Cynthia Odum of Jesup and Debbie Hendrix and her husband Rufus of Portal; five grandchildren, Frank Glenn and his wife Dana of Flowery Branch, Charlie Glenn of Gainesville, Rex Odum of Buford, Joey Hendrix Morris of Statesboro and Jackie Linton and her husband Bobby of Statesboro; six great-grandchildren, Thomas and Joe Glenn, Charlie and Tatum Glenn and Abby and Allie Morris.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, March 23, 2016 from 1 -3 p.m. at Flanders Morrison Funeral Home.

Funeral service will be held on Wednesday, March 23, 2016 at 3 p.m. in the Flanders Morrison Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Matt Avera.

Burial will follow at Northside Cemetery.
