Pembroke, GA—Ethel Lorene Rentfro Amick, a beloved mother, grandmother, sister, and cherished friend, passed away peacefully on Monday, December 15th, 2025, at the age of 83. Born on Tuesday, July 14th, 1942, in Oklahoma, Ethel's life was a testament to resilience, love, and service.

Ethel proudly served her country in the United States Army for 16 honorable years, during which she traveled extensively and honed her skills in martial arts and sharpshooting. Her adventurous spirit and dedication to service were truly inspiring.

Upon completing her military service, Ethel transitioned to a career as a Sales Associate at Clyde's Market, where her warm smile and helpful nature earned her the affection of both colleagues and customers until her retirement.

In 1988, Ethel married Albert "Al" Amick, the love of her life. Their partnership was a source of strength and joy, lasting until Al's passing, but the love they shared remains a cherished memory for her family.

Ethel's greatest joy was her family. She is lovingly remembered by her children: son, Bill Finley; daughters, Kathi Blaalid, Roberta Miner (Robin), and Holly Moreno (Mark Falzone). She was the adored grandmother of Douglas Blaalid, Ryan Blaalid, Gracie Miner, Hannah Miner, Angela Moreno, and Deanna Moreno (Michael Slater). Her legacy of love continues through her great-grandchildren Anjella, Adriel, and Asher Griffin, as well as great anticipation for a new addition to the family on the way. Ethel is also survived by her brother Frank Rentfro, who was a lifelong companion and support. She is also survived by numerous step-children whom she was close to.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Earl and Alice Strait Rentfro, her husband, Albert Amick, her sisters, Louis and Lola Rentfro, and her brother, Leroy Rentfro.

Known for her no-nonsense attitude and strong moral compass, Ethel always spoke her mind and never hesitated to lend a helping hand. Her caring nature extended beyond her family; she was also a steadfast friend and "Grandma" to many in the community. Ethel's lifelong love for animals and her compassionate spirit will remain in the hearts of those who knew her.

Ethel leaves behind a legacy of love, strength, and unwavering dedication to family. The warmth and kindness she shared will never be forgotten.

Arrangements to honor Ethel's life have been entrusted to Flanders Powell Funeral Home & Crematory.

Ethel Lorene Rentfro Amick will be dearly missed but never forgotten, as her loving spirit continues to live on in the hearts of all who were privileged to know her.
