Mrs. Theresa Ernestine Riner Hodges, age 70, passed away at her residence on Tuesday, March 6, 2018 while surrounded by her family. Mrs. Hodges was born on February 26, 1948 to E.W. “Slim” Riner, Sr. and Annie Wiggins Riner.  Mrs. Hodges was a homemaker and a caregiver to numerous children in the Pembroke area.  She would get up before the crack of day for a good yard sale and she loved nothing on earth more than her family, especially the grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, Mrs. Hodges was preceded in death by her husband of 24 years, Alton Hodges; brother, Bill Riner, Jr. and granddaughter, Kadi Hodges

Survivors include two sons and daughters-in-law, Dennis and Connie Hodges and Russell and Hope Hodges both of Pembroke; daughter, Ellen Hamilton of Pembroke; sisters Patricia R. Maddox of Adrian and Darline Rogers of Fayette, AL; grandchildren, Teryn Jackson, Heather Jackson, Breanna Hodges and D.J. Hodges and two great grandchildren

Visitation will be held 6-8 p.m.Thursday, March 8, 2018 at Flanders Morrison Funeral Home.

Funeral service will be held 11 a.m Friday, March 9, 2018 in the Flanders Morrison Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Jeff Spencer and Rev. Murray Benefield officiating.

Burial will follow at Northside Cemetery.
