Elizabethh Webster

Pembroke-  Elizabeth Y.  Webster, age 86 passed away peacefully Tuesday, December 5, 2017 at home while under the care of her daughter and THA Island Hospice.  Mrs. Webster was born in Bulloch County on May 6, 1931 to the late Ben Lee Yarbrough and Ella Driggers Yarbrough.  Mrs. Webster was a long-time resident of Pembroke and a member of Southland Baptist Church.  She was housekeeping supervisor at the old Bulloch County Hospital until she retired to take care of her son.  Mrs. Webster enjoyed ceramics, embroidering, and crocheting, but most of all she loved her time with her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.  In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband of 52 years, Guy Leon “Pappy”  Webster, Sr.,  two sons, John Kelvin Webster, Sr. and Guy Leon  Webster, Jr. and two grandchildren, Jennifer Miranda Allmond and Tony Richmond

Survivors include three daughter and a son-in-law, Linda Matila Portune of  Wilmington Island,  Pauline Elizabeth Anderson of Gulfport and Deloris Ann and Mitchell Pevey of Pembroke; one son and daughter-in-law James and Angela  Webster of Statesboro;  grandchildren Shannon Richmond, Susan Helton, Denise Richmond, Angie Portune Clanton, James Patrick Portune, Jessica Melissa Allmond Watkins, Thresa Webster Williams, Jamie Lynn Webster, Heather Webster, Casey Webster, Christina Webster, Ashley Webster White and John K. “Bubba” Webster, Jr. ; 18 great grandchildren and six great great grandchildren.

Visitation will be held 1-3 p.m. Saturday Dec. 9, 2017 at Flanders Morrison Funeral Home.  Funeral service will be 3 p.m. Saturday Dec. 9, 2017 in the chapel of the funeral home with Rev. Eugene Wiggins officiating and Rev. Harold O’Neal assisting.  Interment will follow in Northside Cemetery.  Online registry available at  www.flandersmorrisonfuneralhome.com.  Flanders Morrison Funeral Home and Crematory are in charge of the arrangements.
