Dorothy Mosely

Dorothy Nell Durrance Mosely, age 84 passed away at St. Joseph’s Hospital after a brief illness.  Mrs. Mosely was a native of Glory, Georgia and grew up in Nashville, Georgia.  She was a long-time resident of Savannah and was instrumental in the establishing and operations of the family business, K and M Electric Company.  Mrs. Mosely was a former member of Cokesbury United Methodist Church in Savannah, where she was a Sunday School teacher and Bible study leader.  She more recently was an active member of Olive Branch Baptist Church.    Mrs. Mosely was preceded in death by her husband of 58 years, Elvin Mosely.

Survivors include three sons and daughters-in-law, Greg and Nancy Mosely of Lanier, Carl and Lori Mosely of Hilton Head, and Ken and Virginia Mosely of Guyton; one daughter and son-in-law, Denise M. and Tom Young of Black Creek;  two sisters and brothers-in-law, Helen and Raymond Hall of Brooklet and Jean and Bill Hayes of Santa Rosa, CA; two half brothers, Mike and Glenn Durrance, both of California;  eight grandchildren, Nikki Groover, Ashley Mosely, Emily Barfield, Kenneth Mosely, Jr., Carl Mosely, Jr., Jesse Mosely, Ian Mosely and Andrew Mosely;   three great grandchildren, Keller Groover, Hayden Groover and Lathem Groover and numerous other beloved extended family.

Visitation will be held 5-8 P.M. Friday, May 26, 2017 at the funeral home.

Funeral service will be 3 P.M. Saturday, May 27, 2017 at Olive Branch Baptist Church with interment to follow in the church cemetery.
