Doris Floyd

Mrs. Doris Marie Owens Floyd, age 88, passed away Wednesday, October 17, 2018 at her home.  Mrs. Floyd was born July 4, 1930 to the late Rufus Robert Owens and Ida Bashlor Owens.  She was a native of Bryan County and was of the Baptist Faith.  Mrs. Floyd was an excellent cook and loved to garden.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 42 years, Leonil Vaughn Floyd and two sons, Larry Floyd and Shelly Floyd and several brothers and sisters.

Survivors include her sons, Kelly Floyd of Pembroke and Shannon Floyd of Pembroke; one sister, Mildred Benton of Savannah; seven grandchildren and several great grandchildren.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 18, 2018 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.

Funeral service will be held on Friday, October 19, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. in the Flanders Morrison Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Michael Altman officiating.

Burial will follow at First Baptist Church of Ellabell Cemetery.
