Donald "Don" Byers

Ellabell-  Mr. Donald “Don” Emory Byers, age 74, passed away at his home Monday, August 29, 2022.  Mr. Byers was born in Forest City, North Carolina on February 2, 1948 to the late Alford Emory Byers and Johni Owens Byers.  Mr. Byers was retired as a transmission technician with over 30 years of service at Savannah Dodge and was a member of Black Creek Holy Church of God.  He loved to work in his shop, playing guitar and spending time with his grandchildren.

Survivors include his wife of 18 years, Mrs. Linda Hall Byers of Ellabell; two sons and daughters-in-law, Donnie W. and Beth Byers of Warner Robins and Tiger and Christina Gleason of Ellabell; three daughters and sons-in-law, Jennifer and Jeremy Olsson of Richmond Hill, Angela and Robert Brock of Warner Robins and Ruby and Mark Stafford of Ellabell; 11 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren.

A memorial service will be held 11 A.M. Thursday, September 1, 2022 in the chapel of Flanders Powell Funeral Home with Pastor Stan Tyson officiating.
