With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Debbie Sue Connor, who left this world on Saturday, September 26, 2026, at the age of 71. Debbie was a cherished resident of Ellabell, Georgia, and her life journey began in Handley, West Virginia, on September 22, 1955.

Debbie is survived by her devoted husband of 17 years, Peter Ernest Connor, who stood by her side as her unwavering partner and confidant. She was the beloved mother to her two sons, Bobby Fowler of Savannah, GA, and William Fowler (Sawako) of Okinawa, Japan. Her love and legacy continue through her grandchildren and in the hearts of her nieces.

Her brother, Rod Johnson of West Virginia, and sisters, Lorrie Ann Kelly of West Virginia and Dottie Lou Stallard of Texas, survive her, holding dear the memories they shared. Debbie was preceded in death by her parents, Harry Lee Johnson and Dorothy Lorraine Reffett Johnson, her brother John Johnson, and her sister Donna Cornell.

Debbie served as a Patient Care Technician at Memorial Hospital for two decades. Her dedication to her work and compassionate care left an indelible mark on both her colleagues and the countless patients she diligently cared for.

She was a woman of remarkable vitality, forever on the move and embracing life with enthusiasm. Her love for church family and insatiable curiosity for all things in life kept her vibrant and always on the go.

A memorial service will be held at Blitchton First Baptist Church on Sunday, October 11, 2026 at 2:00 pm.

She ill be dearly missed and forever remembered by all who were fortunate enough to know her.

Rest in peace, dear Debbie. You will forever be a cherished part of our lives.
