It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Daniel Hill "Buck" Bragg Jr., who departed this life on Saturday, January 3rd, 2026, at the age of 53. Born on Wednesday, July 5th, 1972, in Statesboro, Georgia, Buck was a beloved resident of Pembroke, GA, where he made a profound impact on everyone who had the pleasure of knowing him.
Buck is remembered as a dedicated family man and an outstanding father who cherished his sons, Hunter Bragg of Eden, GA, and Brock Bragg and his wife, Kaira, of Pembroke, GA. He was a proud grandfather to Waylon Bragg, whom he adored, and the cherished son of Janice Butler Bragg of Pembroke, GA. Buck leaves behind his dear sister, Jaime Bragg of Pembroke, GA. He will be deeply missed by his nieces, Katie Kromer (Chase) of Guyton, GA, and Kourtney Marsh (Nick) of Pembroke, GA, as well as his uncle, Dave Bragg (Linda) of Ellabell, GA. Buck is also survived by his mother-in-law, Janet Sims. Buck's legacy extends to numerous great nieces and nephews as well.
Predeceased by his loving wife, Darlene Sims Bragg, and his father, Daniel Hill "Danny" Bragg Sr., Buck was a source of strength and love for his family.
In his professional life, Buck excelled as an Aircraft Coordinator at Gulfstream, where he found satisfaction and demonstrated remarkable dedication. He was a proud 25-year member of the Ironworkers Union Local 709. An avid outdoorsman, Buck enjoyed hunting with dogs and fishing, passions he often shared with family and friends.
Buck was an exemplary coach who devoted time and energy to many of his sons' travel sports teams, leaving an indelible mark on the community and the young athletes he nurtured. He was an enthusiastic Georgia Bulldogs fan, always eager to cheer on his team, and he loved attending NASCAR races with friends and family.
Those who knew Buck will never forget his warmth, generosity, and spirited personality. His family, friends, and community members will sorely miss his presence. He was a loving husband, a wonderful son, and above all, an excellent father and grandfather.
Services to honor Buck’s life will be held at Flanders Powell Funeral Home & Crematory in Pembroke, GA. Visitation will take place on Tuesday, January 6th, 2026, from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm. Funeral services will follow on Wednesday, January 7th, 2026, at 11:00 am at the same location with Pastor Tony Hewitt officiating. Pallbearers honoring Buck's memory include Charles Williams, Glenn Shuman, Riley Tillman, Jon Good, Cliff Horton, and Allen Stewart.
