Corporal Daniel Eugene Brackin, 45, passed away suddenly on Saturday, April 14, 2018 from injuries sustained in an automobile accident. Senior Corporal Brackin was a 1992 graduate of Effingham High School and was employed with the Bryan County Sheriff’s Office. He formally worked for Metter Police Department, Pembroke Police Department and was of the Baptist Faith. He loved his work but most important of all was spending time with his son Will.

He is survived by his son, William Joseph “Will” Brackin of Rincon; father, Dan G. Brackin of Donaldsonville; mother and step-father, Brenda Gail and Willie Phillips of Ellabell; grandmother, Bessie Hand of Bainbridge; companion, Deana Flanagan Morgan of Ellabell; sisters, Brenda B. Sikes of Ellabell, Angela Poague of iron City, Jennifer Suggs of Blakley, Mary Phillips of Camilla; Angelique Phillips of Colquitt and Robbie Williamson of Statesboro; brothers, Jimmy Adams of Donaldsonville, Jeffrey Scott Adams  of Cedar Springs, Jay Phillips of Colquitt and Mickey Phillips of Texas; and numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, April 18, 2018 from 5 – 8 p.m. at the funeral home.

Funeral service will be held on Thursday, April 19, 2018 at 2 p.m. in the Flanders Morrison Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Dan Bryant officiating.

Burial will follow at Eldora Baptist Church Cemetery.
