Mrs. Carrie Ida Lee Miles, 85, passed away on Thursday, June 25, 2015 at her residence while surrounded by her loving family. Mrs. Miles was a line operator for Bell South in Dublin, GA. She was also co-owner, cook, hostess and waitress at the Tastee Freez in Dublin. After moving to Pembroke, Mrs. Miles was owner and seamstress of Pembroke Gifts and Drapes. Mrs. Miles was a member of the First Baptist Church of Pembroke where she was the former church social director; she also was a member of the Pembroke Garden Club.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Thomas Grady Miles, Sr.; sons, Roy Dale Miles; five brothers and four sisters.
She is survived by son, Thomas Grady Miles, Jr.; daughter, Patricia Anne Miles Moore; eight grandchildren, numerous great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandson.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, June 27, 2015 at the funeral home from 6 – 8 p.m.
Funeral service will be held on Sunday, June 28, 2015 in the funeral home chapel at 3 p.m. with Rev. Dean Burris and Dr. Brad Butler officiating.
Burial will follow at Northside Cemetery.
