Mr. Carlos A. Bland, Jr., 82, passed away on Sunday, March 1, 2015 at Hospice Savannah. Mr. Bland was a veteran having served in the U.S. Navy on the USS St. Paul during the Korean War and later retiring from the U.S. Coast Guard. He was a member of MRS Richmond Hill and enjoyed hunting, fishing and the outdoors.

He is survived by his wife of over 62 years, Mary L. Bland; sons, Kenneth W. Bland (Nina); two daughters, Carla Rothman and Karen Donell; three grandchildren, Jherra Filer, Taylor Greene and Lacey Moser; two great-grandchildren, Dominick Jordan Davis and Ella Brook Moser.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, March 4, 2015 from 5 – 7 p.m. at the funeral home.

Graveside service will be held on Thursday, March 5, 2015 at 2 p.m. at Beards Creek Cemetery in Glennville with Rev. Steven McCoy officiating.
