Annie Helen Nasworthy

Mrs. Annie Helen Anderson Nasworthy, age 82, passed away on Wednesday, January 23, 2024 at Ogeechee Area Hospice. Mrs. Nasworthy was born in Lyons, GA on May 23, 1941 to the late George Anderson and Earleen Mosley Anderson. She retired from the Bryan County Board of Education after 37 years as a school bus driver. Mrs. Nasworthy was a member of Christ Baptist Church and a member of the Red Hat Society (Dixie Darlings). She enjoyed reading, crossword puzzles, flowers and spending time with her family and grandchildren. 

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Robert Paul Nasworthy; brother, Bennie Anderson; sister, Birddie Roundtree and son-in-law, Mark E. Lanier

She is survived by two daughters and a son-in-law, Paula Lanier of Brooklet and DeeDee and  Jerome Proman of Richmond Hill; sister, Eleanor Nasworthy of Kite; two grandchildren, Logan Lanier and Lily Lanier and numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held 4-6 P.M. Sunday, January 28, 2024 at Flanders Powell Funeral Home.

Funeral service will be held 2 P.M. Monday, January 29, 2024 at Bethel United Methodist Church in Kite, GA with Rev. Phil Wilson officiating.  

Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
