Andy "Babo" Coleman Jr.

With deep sorrow, we announce the passing of Andy "Babo" Coleman Jr., a cherished husband, father, grandfather, and brother. Andy passed away on Sunday, May 3rd, 2026, surrounded by his loving family.

Born on a crisp autumn day, Monday, October 26th, 1964, in the vibrant town of Statesboro, Georgia, Andy was the beloved son of the late Andy Coleman Sr. and Mary Tillman Coleman. He was preceded in death by his brother, Wade Allen Coleman, and his sister, Cindy Kay Threatt.

Andy was a lifelong resident of Pembroke, where he made a positive impact in both his personal and professional life. As a dedicated Class A Mechanic (Fitter and Welder) with over 30 years of service, he has spent the past five years with Automation Systems and Controls, Inc., Andy was known for his exceptional skills and tireless work ethic.

Outside of his profession, Andy was an avid outdoorsman, passionate about hunting, fishing, and motorcycle riding. He found great joy in the simplicity of nature and cherished the moments shared with his family doing what he loved most.

Andy is survived by his loving wife of 40 years, Jenny A. Coleman, whose unwavering support and companionship marked a union built on love and respect. He was the proud father of two children: son Andy Allen Coleman (Tabitha) of Brooklet, and daughter Jessica Coleman Vance (Gaston) of Nevils. His sister, Melinda Chassereau (Wyman) of Pembroke, also survives him.

He adored his grandchildren Brooke, Wyatt, Allison, Lane, Weston, Haidyn, Riddick, and Ava, and found immense pride and joy in their bright futures. Andy will also be lovingly remembered by several nieces and nephews.

Family and friends are invited to a visitation on Wednesday, May 6th, 2026, from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at Flanders Powell Funeral Home & Crematory. A graveside service will follow at Northside Cemetery at 1:00 p.m., officiated by Pastor Stan Tyson.

Andy's life and legacy will forever be celebrated by those who had the privilege of knowing him. His dedication to family and work, his zest for life, and his boundless love for his grandchildren made him a beacon of joy and strength.
